Relaxation Massage
The purpose of relaxation massage is to decrease muscle tension through the use of kneading and circular strokes in a smooth flowing style. It is a more superficial massage that is helpful to both body and mind while improving circulation and inducing relaxation.
Theraputic Massage
The purpose of therapeutic massage is to reduce pain and stress through deep manipulation of soft tissue. This is considered a deep tissue massage. Though the techniques used in a relaxation massage are also incorporated, certain muscles of your body are targeted for special attention because of overuse, injury, or stress in order to effect structural changes. The massage pressure and techniques used go deeper into the soft tissue and may also include stretching.
Rates
Because the massage you schedule will be the actual length of your hands-on experience, please plan on being here at least an additional 15 minutes. If this is your first appointment with Touch Matters add 15 minutes more in order to fill out necessary preliminary paperwork.
